The Reunion Fun Continues...
WG'86 Classmates,
OUR OCTOBER 9th IN-PERSON REUNION IN MIDTOWN MANHATTAN IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING PLEASE REGISTER SOON AS CAPACITY IS FILLING UP.
The event will take place at the New York Athletic Club (NYAC), located at Central Park South and 7thAvenue, on Saturday, October 9, from 7 pm to 11 pm. We are also planning some other informal events for the weekend.
Classmate Bob Petit has arranged a large reception room, and weather permitting, we should be able to use a large outdoor space with a great city view as well. Bob has also arranged for a block of guest rooms at the NYAC at the low rate of $185 per night (plus tax) for Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday nights. The $60 charge will cover food and beverage costs for the event.
COVID Protocol Update – The NYAC and City of New York have recently approved indoor gatherings as long as each participant has received at least one vaccination shot. Proof may be required for access to all NYC venues. We do not expect any further changes in protocol, but if it becomes necessary to postpone or cancel the event, we will refund all deposits.
Our mini-reunion site is limited to a capacity of 70 people, so please reserve your spot by sending $60 per person via Venmo using the Venmo address @Gregg-Solomon-5 (the associated cell phone is 917-678-0007) or via Zelle, to Leslie Brooks Solomon (cell phone number 917-583-3964). If you don’t have Venmo or Zelle, email Doug Brown to make payment plans. Your deposit secures your spot.
If you would like to reserve a guest room at the NYAC, please email Bob Petit and let him know which night(s) you wish to reserve. It is too early to tell whether this will be a capacity constrained event. Until we get a better handle on attendance, non-WG'86 spouses who wish to attend shall be wait-listed.
We look forward to finally getting together with many of our classmates in person!
All the best,
Your WG86 Mini-Reunion Committee
